WHEN do you think to move to germany?
have a look around your town (if you come from a town/city) if there is a Goethe Institute there or near you.take a course in german language there and get as much info and help as
you can. since the institute is sponsored by the german government, similar to the british council offices overseas they are cheaper than a private company (to learn geman).
DONT go to germany if you don't have a fixed job offer and a place to stay. what do you think you will do in germany to earn a living? if you are single and working some 40% takes the taxman.( pension fund, uneployment, insurance and of course TAX)
don't think you will arrive there all will be ok and they will take you with open arms.
if you have property or a flat back home, don't sell it. leave it empty for a month or two, at least you have a place to go to if you have to go back. only if you are comfortable in germany rent out your place.
find out if there are some german sites on the net (based in germany where you can ask questions and get reasonable answers. we have one in moscow www.expat.ru... that helps newcomers to russia, maybe there is a link to germany...)
